WCW Saturday Night was WCW’s primary television show for many years and served as the company’s flagship program before the launch of Monday Nitro. The series originally aired under various NWA-related names before becoming fully associated with WCW. Saturday Night featured stars such as Sting, Ric Flair, Lex Luger, and Vader and became a central part of the wrestling television landscape throughout the 1980s and 1990s. The show was especially known for its classic studio atmosphere and later for the distinctive visual style of early WCW television. It combined wrestling matches, interviews, and storyline progression in a traditional format. Even after Nitro became dominant, WCW Saturday Night remained an important part of the promotion until it was canceled in 2000.
