AWA Championship Wrestling is a professional wrestling television series that aired on ESPN from 1985 to 1990. This episode originally aired on 20.02.1988 and features action from the American Wrestling Association, the legendary Minneapolis-based promotion founded by Verne Gagne and Wally Karbo in 1960. The AWA operated as one of the most prominent independent wrestling territories in North America until its closure in 1991.
