Iron Sheik, born Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri on March 15, 1942, in Dāmghān, Semnan, Iran, is a professional wrestler of Iranian and American nationality. Standing 6'0" (183 cm) tall and weighing 262 lbs (119 kg), he became one of the most prominent heel wrestlers of the 1980s. Iron Sheik is best known for his time in the WWE, where he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and engaged in famous feuds with Hulk Hogan and other top wrestlers of the era. His character, often depicted as a foreign menace, made him one of the most recognizable villains in professional wrestling history.
