Antonio Inoki, born Kanji Inoki on February 20, 1943, in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan, was a legendary professional wrestler and cultural icon. Standing 191 cm (6'3") tall and weighing 102 kg (225 lbs), Inoki became one of the most influential wrestlers in Japanese history. He was a multiple-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion and main event performer at major promotions including New Japan Pro Wrestling. Inoki's career spanned decades and he is credited with helping to establish professional wrestling as a major sport in Japan. Beyond wrestling, he later pursued a political career, serving in the Japanese Diet and becoming an ambassador for the sport worldwide.
