WWE NXT is WWE’s developmental and talent-building brand, but it is now also widely viewed as its own standalone wrestling brand. Originally created as a training platform for future stars, NXT evolved during the 2010s into a popular alternative to the mainstream style of Raw and SmackDown. The shows focus heavily on intense in-ring action, rising talent, and a more sports-oriented presentation. Many of today’s WWE stars, including Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, Finn Bálor, and Bron Breakker, first gained major attention in NXT. The brand’s TakeOver events are often considered some of the best WWE shows of their era by fans. NXT combines the development of new wrestlers with the goal of delivering a unique and modern wrestling product.
